Have you seen Michael Pollan's recent article in the NY Times magazine, "Some of my best friends are bacteria"? Everyone should read this! What can we do to take care of our digestive system and help prevent yeast overgrowth by the way? Avoid processed foods. Avoid eating animals that were given antibiotics. Avoid unnecessary antibiotic use yourself. Avoid antibacterial soaps and wipes. Add femented foods into your diet and eat a high fiber diet. What is high fiber foods? Vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, ground flax seeds, beans and legumes and whole grains like brown rice.
